
This small cemetery is located in Section 34 of Brighton Township.
Evert Woodruff located in Section 34 in 1833 bringing his family with him. He erected the first mills in the township and in the northern part of the county, carrying on a most successful business for years. The mill was located near this cemetery on what was known as Woodruff's Creek. (from the DAR transcription)
It is included in the transcriptions of rural cemeteries done by the DAR in the 1940's. The original three volumes indexes were compiled into a single alphabetical one and that index became the beginning of the new table format with the interred names and the cemetery names which are linked to the individual cemetery pages.
