Pam MARDOS Rietsch
(and her family...)

Pam has been collecting family histories since she was very young, learning from the stories she heard from her grandparents and their many brothers and sisters with whom she spent summers, after her father passed away right after her 8th birthday. She did not get dedicated and professionally organized until a class with Dianne RYAN Richards 18 years ago. Being 100% Lithuanian has of course caused her to be interested in any families of this nationality and because she has been married to her husband Don who is of German heritage for almost twenty five years she has a great interest here too. After a long leave, due to illness Pam is back filled with enthusiasm because of all the Internet connections she has acquired. She lives in Howell with Don and their two four legged kids Mischa & Gunnar. She is the "newbie" librarian and opens her brain wide for all the experts there to pour in their accumulated knowledge. Pam is also the coordinator of this site and the soon to be loaded Dundy County NE site, is known on the genealogical lists as "the list lady" and is the county's Welcome Wagon Representative. She readily states that without help from Internet Services of Michigan, the server on which this site sits, fellow genealogists like Dianne RICHARDS and Kernie L. KING the project may have gotten off the ground, but a lot slower. You will never get help without the required "hug" homework you must give to someone who needs it every time she replies. She is researching lots of lines, but the ones that have her obsessed are: All variant spellings of KEISER, BARTELS, RIETSCH, MARDOS, ENGELKE, SHOCKITES, STURVE, and LUCE. Have something you want to ask or something you would like to see added to the site? Use e-mail below.
