Located in Iosco across Bull Run Road from Eisele Cemetery is the MUNSELL cemetery in Section 15.
The property was acquired by the MUNSELL family in 1877 when they purchased it from a Williabald EISELE.
The transcription of this cemetery was completed in 1989 by Milton E. CHARBONEAU.
During the 1940's, the DAR came through Livingston County and transcribed lots of cemeteries and put those names into three volumes with three indexes. They were compiled into one index which can be seen from the first page of this site or on the new tabular index I created adding in the cemetery names which are then linked to these individual cemetery pages.
When I filmed this cemetery several months ago, I found it to be in terrible shape with dozens of broken stones and many that will shortly be broken because bushes have been left to over grow and are snapping in half the old stones that are irreplaceable. There were stones buried under horrid thorny vines which I clipped back to get images of and some were buried so deep as to not be able to read whom they belonged to. Hopefully we can get a scout troop to get in there and clean this one up as it has vital information for the county's history. The images from this filming will be up later this year I hope.
