The oldest cemetery in Howell Township is located on the east side of the northeast quarter of Section 8. The Marr family designated it as a burial site in 1848.

When the farm passed from father John Marr to son he left out the burial ground. In 1886 all of the heirs of the ground deeded it to Howell Township.
The DAR came through Livingston County in the 1940's and transcribed lots of cemeteries here, this one included. The indexes were compiled into one index and I used this as a basis for the brand new table format which not only lists the interred but the cemetery names and they are linked to individual cemetery pages.
