This cemetery is located in Section 15 of Iosco Township.
The property on which this cemetery is located was originally owned by a Thomas HENDERSON prior to 1877. In that year he sold the property to a man named LERG who then deeded it to the Detroit Diocese for a cemetery. Later in the same year the remaining property was sold to the EISELE family. They in turn sold the cemetery grounds to the MUNSELL.
Eventually the Detroit Diocese turned the property over to the Lansing Diocese in the year 1938.
St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fowlerville was appointed it's caretaker even though there has not been a burial there in many years. While creating the new table which lists those interred in Livingston County Cemeteries, it is evident that there were many more people interred there than there are stones visible now. When I filmed this cemetery a few months ago, many were degraded to the point that there were illegible, so when the images are uploaded, they will go on a page that simply states the unnamed tombstones.
This cemetery was transcribed in 1989 by Milton E. CHARBONEAU.
It was also included in the cemeteries that were transcribed in the 1940's by the DAR and initially entered into three volumes. They were merged into one index which was the basis for the new table format.
