Cathy SCHULTZ Blight

Cathy is the Assistant Director of the FHC.

She lives in Howell with her husband Ron and their daughter. She is an active member of the LDS church here in Howell and can routinely been seen during lots of the events they host.

Here we see her calling the patrons to inform them that the films that they have ordered are in and they have 30 days to view them before the films are returned.

By trade she is a graphic artist and owns her own business Creative House here in Howell. Many Chamber of Commerce brochures have had her lovely work gracing their covers. In fact she is so involved with the Chamber of Commerce that she is in charge of an extremely large arts & crafts show every summer during the state championship of hot air Ballooning which takes place here in Howell, the Michigan Challenge.

Because of her constant involvement and willingness to help, she was honored several years ago at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner with the "Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award", and she was stunned! (But she reallllllllly deserved it!)

Her research areas are emphasized in New England, Ireland and Germany and she has been at it for over 20 years. She is always willing to answer questions from anyone getting started or stuck somewhere and they do not know how to continue.

Her main areas of research are through the following: BABCOCK, BURR, WOODRUFF, OFFEN, O'BRIEN, LAY, SCHULTZ, FOGEL, HENDERSON, McPHERSON. Cathy has been associated with the FHC since it began.
