This cemetery located in Cohoctah Township had its first burial in 1837. It is positioned in the southeast quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 24 of Cohoctah Township. It appears that the property changed hands several times from the Packards to the Ramsdells to the Boutells who bought it in 1853.

Since the property adjoins the Jones farm to the south, it is sometimes called the Jones cemetery. Unfortunately there was vandalism there several years ago and some of the markers were broken. Fortunately we have some very efficient Boy Scout Troops in the area and they have restored many of the old broken stones. Sadly even after that, most of the stones were vandalized again. When does it stop?

While there are a number of families buried there, the more prominent family names include: Jones, McMillen, Boutell, Phillips, Graham & Ramsdell.

During the 1940's, this cemetery along with many others was transcribed by the DAR. They put the listings into three volumes and recently I compiled these into one which I used and then merged it with the actual cemetery pages which are also linked for better use of research time.
